We are excited to participate in the Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 21. Among other wonderful organizations in our neighborhood, we will host an activity table for your kids to make a craft and say hello to staff and student families.
The Harvest Festival is on the New Leaf Lawn in Ft. Tryon park from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Hope to see you there!

The Wooden Button to open in its new home!
We are thrilled to announce that The Wooden Button will be opening officially this month in its new home at the Fort Washington Collegiate Church on 181st Street. We are very excited about this development (after years of hard work) and are delighted to be sharing space with our wonderful neighbors at the Collegiate Church.
As a brief introduction, The Wooden Button is a small, one classroom preschool with a group of about 12 children with 2 teachers. Families choose to enroll their children either 2 or 4 days per week. The days and hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The Wooden Button follows the Waldorf philosophy, which is based on the physical development of the child. During the morning we have undirected play, a creative or practical activity at the table, movement circle followed by rest with story. Then snack, which the children have helped prepare, and outdoor time during the last hour. The focus of the children's play inside as well as outside is their imagination, creating their own worlds.
We have limited space available in the Tuesday/Thursday program, so if you’re interested in learning more, please send an inquiry to thewoodenbutton@gmail.com.
Warmly,
The Wooden Button team
